The lipofilling treatment<\/h2>\n

Liposuction removes fat elsewhere in the body from areas such as the abdomen, legs or hips. Next, the fat cells are injected into the face with cannulas. Lipofilling treatment leaves hardly any scars. Because work is done with the body’s own material, the risk of complications is limited. Rejection does not occur after lipofilling treatment. However, some of the fat may be lost because it is not absorbed at the injected site. The procedure generally takes place under general anesthesia and lasts one to two hours. For small amounts of lipofilling, it’s also sometimes possible to have this done under local anesthesia at the MOOI clinic.<\/p>\n

Aftercare and recovery<\/h2>\n

You can usually go home the same day after the procedure, after being checked by the plastic surgeon. You’re not allowed to drive yourself, so plan in advance how you will get home safely.
\nAfter treatment, people don’t have many pain symptoms, although some swelling or bruising may occur. This usually resolves in 1 to 2 weeks.<\/p>\n

During the first week, we recommend eating soft foods and taking small bites. You usually suffer the most from the areas where liposuction was performed as these areas can be sensitive. The feeling in your face remains normal. At first, decreased sensitivity may occur. This is almost always temporary.<\/p>\n

It’s important to take it easy for the first few weeks and to not lift heavy things or exert yourself so that the transplanted fat can grow in properly.<\/p>\n
