A TCA peeling is much more intensive than a peeling with glycolic acid, which is also done by beauticians. Particularly for people whose skin problems are the main cause of aging, exfoliation can be a very appropriate treatment. At MOOI Clinic, treatment is performed only by a cosmetic doctor.
Who is this TCA Peeling suitable for?
Suitable for all skin types, this peel is ideal for combating the first signs of skin aging. This usually becomes apparent around age 30. The TCA peel is suitable for reducing:
- Pigmentation spots
- Fine lines
- Large pores
- Skin aging
- Sun damage
- Fallen/gray skin (smoker’s skin)
- Acne (sensitive) skin
This TCA peel really improves your skin, but does not fill volume loss or deep wrinkles. In that case, you can possibly combine this TCA peel with a filler or injectable. Another option and better one is to opt for a deeper laser peel. Our doctor will advise you on this during the consultation.
The Easy TCA Pain Control Peeling
With 15% TCA and a touch of phenol, the Easy TCA Pain Control peel is our medium peel. This cure is given in four sessions. In this peel, the substance TCA – Trichloroacetic acid – causes the top cells of the skin to die off. Then the skin itself goes to work making a new outer layer of skin. The treatment itself takes about 15-30 minutes and is virtually painless due to the pain relief added to the peeling liquid. The duration obviously depends on the area to be treated.

The consultation from A to Z
Before treatment, a dermatologist will assess your skin and advise you on possible treatment options. The dermatologist also discusses the necessary treatment plan and aftercare to achieve the desired results. When undergoing treatment you should also read Skin Tech Pharma’s product leaflets carefully and follow this advice carefully! You will receive these brochures during the consultation with the specialist.
We are also taking the photos for your medical records today. After the consultation, you will be aware of everything about the treatment: from our honest advice about the expected result, risks, aftercare and costs. We advise all our clients to quit smoking around the time of treatment. The same applies to the use of nicotine patches and gum.
An initial consultation involves a €50 consultation fee, which will be deducted from the treatment price.
The TCA peel
This TCA peel consists of four treatments and they are as follows:
After the skin is cleaned and prepared, trichloroacetic acid is applied to the skin. This can be on your face, neck, décolletage or backs of hands, or a combination. The depth of treatment is tailored to each client individually so that we achieve the best possible results with the least possible risk. After the peeling, a special ointment is applied to the skin. This cream will make your skin calm and pain-free again. You leave this cream on for the rest of the day. If it goes well after treatment, you can go home immediately after the procedure. Don’t drive yourself but have yourself brought and picked up.
At home, you continue the treatment yourself using the instructions and products we gave you. This allows you to cleanse, protect and care for your skin. These products are part of the treatment and to achieve the desired end result, it is very important to follow our aftercare instructions carefully.
Aftercare and recovery
Before treatment, you will receive detailed post-play instructions from us.After treatment, the skin may swell a little and redness is also normal. This usually subsides after a few days. In exceptional cases, redness after exfoliation persists for several weeks. In order for the new skin to emerge, your skin starts shedding. This usually occurs 3 days after treatment
and shedding takes an average of 2 to 3 days.
Home treatment
At home, you continue the treatment yourself using the instructions and products we gave you. This allows you to cleanse, protect and care for your skin. These products are part of the treatment and to achieve the desired end result, it is very important to follow our aftercare instructions carefully. It is important to take care of your skin for 6 weeks after the last session usually twice daily according to our instructions and with the products from the Skin Tech product line.
Good to know
There may be temporary discoloration or decolorization of the skin after a TCA peel. In some cases, this may even be permanent. Long-term redness may also occur. To avoid these problems, a number of lighter peels can also be chosen instead of one deep peel. Every person is unique, and we choose a customized treatment in consultation with you.
In very rare cases, there is an allergic reaction to one of the creams used during the pre- and aftercare.
After the treatment, do not expose the skin to the sun for 2 months. Therefore, we recommend using a sunscreen with a high protection factor. These products are also available at MOOI Clinic.
A chemical peel also affects tattoos (such as eyebrows), they become slightly lighter in color due to peeling.
A TCA peel makes the skin smoother and more even, but will not be as helpful against skin sagging or deep wrinkles.
We advise all our clients to quit smoking around the time of treatment. The same applies to the use of nicotine patches and gum.
Do not drink alcohol or take blood-thinning painkillers such as Aspirin and Ibuprofen.
