For the rest of their lives MOOIE ears, without surgery!

In the Netherlands, 33% of babies are born with, to a greater or lesser extent, an abnormality in the shape of the ears. Protruding ears, or floppy ears, are most common. Other ear abnormalities often occur in the auricle, such as a folded ear or a deformity in the outer edge of the ear. Meanwhile, there is a solution to fix many ear defects in newborn babies: EarWell. At MOOI Clinic, we offer this treatment, where babies’ ears can be corrected at an early age. This will prevent surgery later in life. This treatment takes place with the EarWell system and is without surgery. For more information on treatment, also check out the Earwell.com website.

The consultation and treatment at the plastic surgeon’s office

At the first consultation, the ears will be assessed and treatment can also be started immediately. The treatment consists of applying the EarWell system. This ensures that your baby’s ears are shaped correctly and in this way corrects the defect.

Duration of treatment:

The average duration of treatment is 4-8 weeks. After two weeks, the system will be replaced and a new system installed.

Aftercare and recovery

The treatment has a 95% success guarantee, it is painless and there are no risks to your baby. However, it is important to start treatment in a timely manner. Preferably in the2nd or3rd week after birth. Your baby’s ears may need to be taped for several weeks after the EarWell system is removed. There is no real “recovery,” but there is aftercare during treatment.

Experience of other parents

Our little son had two uneven ears. He had a small defect in the helix rim of his right ear and on both ears his earlobes were very forward. We had his ears treated under the motto of “not shot is always wrong. As a baby, he would not notice anything about this ear correction, and later in life he would only benefit from his beautiful ears. We are very happy with the result! Read our experience here.
