Getting back your natural beauty with a subtle touch-up
At MOOI Clinic, quality and safety are paramount. That means all our fillers and injectables are of the highest quality. We also give everyone a booklet that contains information about which filler we use and the amount. This way – even if you go elsewhere – you always know what was injected into your body. Since you’re a considering injectables and fillers, we’d like to tell you what your options are and what steps you can take. During a consultation with a plastic surgeon at our private clinic located in Maastricht, we’ll provide you with all the necessary information so you can make an informed decision.

Types of injectables and fillers
First, it’s good to know that there are different types of injectables, which fall under two categories: muscle relaxants and fillers. Botulinum toxin (brand name: Botox®) is the active ingredient in the injectable that causes a muscle to be paralyze, or frozen, which means wrinkles are diminished or disappear. Fillers work differently than injectables with botulinum toxin. As the name suggests, this product is used to fill in lines, wrinkles or lips. Most fillers consist of the substance hyaluronic acid. With fillers, we create more volume to the skin. At MOOI Clinic, we work – as advised by the Dutch Society of Plastic Surgeons as well as the Dutch Society of Cosmetic Medicine – only with safe botulinum toxin and temporary fillers. The body breaks them down on its own within three to 18 months. If you choose lipofilling, the results are often longer lasting. Botulinum toxin and fillers provide beautiful results: wrinkles fade or disappear and your skin looks younger and plumper.

Good to know
Possible side effects of injectable treatments include mild swelling, redness and sometimes a few bruises or minor bleeding at injection sites. This is caused by the injections rather than the product itself and will usually disappear within 24-48 hours. Blue spots may persist for several days to weeks.
